Paris’s Highest Honour, La Médaille Grand Vermeil de la Ville, awarded to Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld

83 year old Karl Lagerfeld, a legend, an icon and the head designer and creative director at Chanel, Fendi & his own namesake brand is indefinitely one of the most influential person in the fashion industry worldwide. Well recognized around the world for his trademark white hair, black sunglasses, and high starched collars, Karl was presented with the La Médaille Grand Vermeil de la Ville de Paris by the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, right after Chanel’s Haute Couture show in Paris today.

The German designer is not only an inspiration to me but designers, artistes and photographers worldwide. Karl is also an amazing photographer and does photoshoots for Chanel and other brands as well. Inspired by him I did the same thing and shot my first campaign ever for Garéma myself, of course with the help of my amazing photographer friend Monirul Pathan who obviously took better photos than I did!  Check out my video here.
